Welcome, y'all!

Stately Made® is a stationery and goods business based in Alabama. What began as an interest in regional culture, folklife, and history, developed into a line of goods meant to remind us of and celebrate our roots. Since 2013, I have been designing products and filling orders from my studio in the rolling hills of Birmingham. From cheerful greeting cards and notepads, to state art prints and tote bags, all my products are printed in small batches here in Alabama. Whether screen printed, letterpressed, or flat printed, I am proud to support other small Alabama businesses as well!

Many of my designs highlight the way food plays a role in culture and defines our sense of place. No matter where you call home, food is a sweet (and savory) reminder of the kinship and traditions we share with others. Behind every dish is a story, a piece of history, and a reminder of home. Whether it's through food puns on greeting cards, or prints featuring state foodways (the study of how food intersects with history and culture), I believe celebrating where we've come from and where we're headed next is not only meaningful, but fun! Jordan Jarvis Hughes is the owner and creator of Stately Made. She has lived in Birmingham, Alabama her entire life and spends her days creating, enjoying time with her husband Gabriel & their young children Adeline & Silas, while dreaming about their backyard flower garden, always with coffee in hand!
